As part of their 2015-2016 Graduate Lecture Series, the MFA in Applied Craft + Design presented a free-wheeling panel discussion with Portland designers and entrepreneurs Laura Allcorn (Second Story), Adam Garcia (The Pressure), Marc Moscato (Know Your City), Ethan Allen Smith (PeetKegler), Allison Ullmer (Allison Ullmer Jewelry), and Kate Bingaman-Burt (PSU).
With Dave Laubenthal, I had the honor of moderating this discussion, which explored creative routines, aha! moments, the challenges and delights of collaboration, and finding a balance between art practice and market production.
